Happy Birthday Marilyn

Actress would have been 85 years old on 1st June

If Marilyn Monroe had lived she would have been 85 years old this week.  As Elton John famously sang her candle burned out long before her legend ever will, but part of that legend may not be true, that of the curvy, size 16 body. That is, at least not if this photo is anything to go by. Taken the night the she sang happy birthday to JFK on May 19th 1962 it shows a woman who, according to contemporary reports, was in the best shape of her life in her final months.
